I heart Pizza.
If I could marry Pizza, I would.
The noises I make when I eat pizza could be mistaken for the soundtrack of a dirty movie.
Tavola is our hometown favorite Pizza joint. We’re going to miss it when we leave. Tavola Pizza is located at 1684 SE Port St Lucie Blvd in the Morningside Plaza. It has been voted “The Best Pizza In St. Lucie County” by the Treasure Choice Awards and it is well deserved! Tavola boasts an amazing menu of unique craft pizzas and features a killer round-up of craft beer!
We started out with a pair of flights loaded with local brews from Cigar City and Funky Buddah as well as a few awesome brews from Two Henrys, Stone & Sierra Nevada. We love places that have flights because they give us an opportunity to try a variety of beers! We were big fans of the Blueberry Vanilla Wheat by Two Henrys! I usually don’t dig blueberry brews, but this was a stunning beer. It was smooth and flavorful, not overbearing on the fruit.
We always get the same things, Antipasto and either a Pipeline or Point Break pizza. Yes, they theme their pizza after Surfing and we completely dig that. Point Break is one of my all-time favorite movies AND it’s my favorite kind of pizza. The Pipeline is straight amazeballs. There is something about jalapenos, pineapple and bacon on a pizza that makes my heart sing. We decided to be a little different tonight at the recommendation of the table next to us. They recommended we go with the P.O.T.W. , the Pizza of the Week, Lasagna Pizza. Garlic Parmesan Base, Meatballs, Mozzarella Cheese, Ricotta Cheese Dollops, Red Sauce Drizzle, Oregano, & Topped with Shredded Parmesan & Fresh Basil! My mouth was watering just reading the description and it did not disappoint. The noises I made would make a porn star blush as I shoveled it into my face! If you get a chance to head over this week, go and grab a pie! You won’t regret it!
Is your mouth watering? It should be. Pictures do not do it justice.
Tavola is, by far, the best pizza in St. Lucie County. The restaurant is always clean and the employees are fast and friendly. We are huge fans and we recommend you give them a shot if you haven’t already. If you are visiting St. Lucie, it’s a MUST STOP. Swing by, grab some craft beers and stuff your face with delicious pizza!
Oh…and don’t forget to bring home the crusts for your fat dog!
Pop quiz: Does anyone know what’s up with coins glued to the sidewalk? We noticed them when we walked out, but I didn’t think to go back in and ask! How strange!
