Do we stay or do we go?
We had to make a decision. New RV or New Roof.
What did we choose?

It had only been a few days when we started to realize what was staying, what was going and what we needed. As you know, we spent a year and a half doing trial runs trying to figure out what would work for us. For the most part, we have been on point…but some things we were way off or hadn’t even thought of. In month one, here are the things that we have loved, ditched or purchased!

The countdown is ON!
We have just 29 days until we go full-time in our RV. We have been working feverishly the last year and a half and the time is finally here. We’re going to try to do some more regular videos since I know we have really been slacking on updating our blog and YouTube channel. With working full-time and trying to get ready to his the road we had a lot of time constraints to deal with.
Today we started to move in and bring out some clothes and miscellaneous odds and ends. We also installed a shoe rack around the bed. We used a plain old over the door shoe hanger that we cut up and stuck to the bed frame. We initially tried this with just duct taping the top edge but it promptly fell down on the first trip. We heard that double sided Gorilla tape was strong so we gave that a go. If that doesn’t work, we’ll screw it to the frame, but I wanted that to be the last resort.
This was also our first attempt at “vlogging”. We have made plenty of videos, but never an ‘as the day goes’ kind of deal. Hope you enjoy it!
Here are some photos of the shoe rack…
If you have any questions or any feedback on our videos or blogs, please reach out! We’d love to hear from you! That kind of sounds like a “How’s my driving?” Bumper sticker, huh?
If you’re going to move into an RV, you’re going to have to sell all your stuff. Let me tell you, it ain’t easy. No one wants to buy your stuff and if they do, it won’t be for much. Your crap isn’t worth what you think it is.
You have a number of options to free yourself from things. You can use Craigslist, OfferUp, Facebook Groups, Auctions, Estate Sales….but we chose the dreaded Garage Sale.
See how ours went:

We mounted our Specialized 2015 Camber 29er and 2015 Jett 29er in our 1977 VW Bus that we are towing with our 1998 Fleetwood Pace Arrow RV.
We mounted the bikes to a Rock and Roll Bed that we made using plans from JustKampers.com We used to keep a futon mattress on top of it when we camped in the bus. Now it is perfect to store our bikes!

I felt that it was a lost cause being so stained, but once again I reached out to the RV Interior Ideas group and a few recommended washing and gave me some hope.
